briefly

an update of sorts

I’ve been spending more time up north. Its been amazing & exhausting. Its only my friends and family that I miss when i am there but the prospect of having proper wireless internet will drastically change all of that. Here are some of the things i have been making over the last few months. Whilst I am in the city I intend to get my wee shop up & running again – that is, make more stuff! Somewhere inbetween all of that I have to finish my film, and start filming for the other ones……

this is the start of my animal series. i will upload more text once i finish it. in a nutshell it wil explore the connections that we begin with and how the populace are manipulated into mass acceptance of abuse across the board.

science fiction utopia, if what you want

still is, or can be, schools
where all our kids are pushed into one shape, are taught
it’s better to be ‘American’ than Black
or Indian, or Jap, or PR, where Dick
and Jane become and are the dream, do you
look like Dick’s father, don’t you think your kid
secretly wishes you did

if what you want
is clinics where the AMA
can feed you pills to keep you weak, or sterile
shoot germs into your kids, while Merck & Co
grows richer

if you want
free psychiatric help for everyone
so that the shrinks
pimps for this decadence, can make
it flower for us, if you want
if you still want a piece
a small piece of suburbia, green lawn
laid down by the square foot
color TV, whose radiant energy
kills brain cells, where subliminal ads
brainwash your children, have taken over
your dreams

degrees from universities which are nothing
moe then slum landlords, festering sinks
of lies, so you too can go forth
and lie to others on some greeny campus

i made these

Ive spent about £30-40 per month on beads. my new addiction and the plan is to try and sell them. Ive made some new ones with jade and the smaller beads, flowers etc etc. Ive been looking at craft sites from all over the place….its fascinating.

Ive also started taking pictures again and doing the odd sketch here and there but ive got sick again. weak as a kitten.

Aaaanyho, my major body of work is based on animl rights. i bought some cheap teddy bears to ‘mutilate’ (show how they are treated in reality) but its been really really hard to start dismembereing them. These feelings made me dig deeper to childhood connections with all things animal. the connection is gradually severed as we grow older and the binds of love turn to ones of blind acceptance of abust, misuse and torture. Sadistic to say the least. Id like to work towards an exhibition and it would be really interesting to see how many people would come to it.
